The Real Story Behind My Grandfather's Coffee
When I was six years old, my grandfather would pick me and my twin brother up and transport us to his place of employment. Granddaddy worked as a security guard at night, so it was no problem for him to allow us to accompany him to and from work each day. And because there were only the three of us, it goes without saying that my grandfather set us loose! And I'm sure we drove him insane with our antics as well.
If we didn't tell our mother, we had the finest grandpa in the world. He would let us swear, speak about sex, or anything else that we wanted to talk about, and the one thing that would have made our mother go insane if she had known was that he would let us drink coffee!
That sparked a blaze that is still raging to this day. My grandfather introduced me to the most amazing beverage that has ever existed. And, to this day, every time I take a sip of coffee, I am reminded of those memorable moments. But, back then, I drank coffee because it was something that adults did and because my mother would not allow us to drink it since it was bad for us. I drink for a variety of reasons these days. It isn't quite as harmful to your health as you may believe.
I've done a lot of studies on coffee and, much to my surprise, it turns out that consuming it is not as harmful for you as you may think.
So, if I told you that there was an all-natural remedy that might lessen your chance of developing diabetes, colon cancer, or Parkinson's disease, what would your response be? You'd think I was completely insane, wouldn't you? It is correct.
Researchers from Harvard University studied data on more than 126,000 individuals over the course of 18 years, and what they discovered will astound you. According to the findings of the study, consuming one to three cups of caffeinated coffee daily may lower the risk of developing diabetes by single digits. When they drank six or more cups of coffee per day, their risks were reduced by 54 percent, and women's risks were reduced by more than 30 percent. The more coffee you consume, the more beneficial it is to your health.
And here's something more that you may not be aware of: Drinking alcohol makes sperm more potent in guys. According to the findings of the study, coffee drinking causes sperm to travel quicker and over a longer distance. Coffee has really been related to infertility in certain studies. This is a common misunderstanding.
Here are a few additional topics that I thought were very fascinating for you to consider. Coffee, like both black and green tea, includes antioxidants that may assist in the prevention of cell mutations that may lead to cancer.
Despite the fact that coffee may be a migraine trigger, the caffeine in coffee has been shown to relieve headaches. One of the reasons why it is included in certain medications is that it boosts the potency of aspirin and other painkillers by up to 40%.
Consumption of coffee has also been shown to be a brain stimulant. Because coffee is a stimulant, it may be beneficial for improving focus. Last year, Dr Chiara Trombetti, of the Gavazzeni Institute for Humanities in Italy, went so far as to propose that a cup of milky coffee in the morning might help wake up drowsy schoolchildren and get them off to a good start. Nutritionists in this country, on the other hand, believe that getting enough sleep and eating a healthy diet are the best strategies to deal with the mental demands of the brain.
Coffee even has a positive effect on the liver's health! Despite the fact that experts are baffled as to what is causing the relationship, research has revealed that those who consume coffee are less likely to acquire liver illness, particularly cirrhosis of the liver.
Coffee drinking may also help to reduce the need for gallstone removal surgery. Gallstones are more common in women than in men, and they are twice as dangerous. Females who drank four cups of coffee per day were 25% less likely than non-coffee drinkers to require gallstone surgery, according to a study conducted in the United Kingdom.
Consumption of coffee may really be beneficial to the skin. In one study, caffeine was shown to increase microcirculation when administered topically to the skin, making cellulite seem less prominent.
As a result, I'm certain that my grandfather did not take all of this information into account when he decided to become a coffee drinker. In fact, I know he didn't; he chose coffee because he enjoyed it. However, he is nearly 90 years old now, and I would like to believe that his excessive coffee consumption had something to do with his continued existence. In any case, I am grateful that he is still alive.
As is typically the case, I hope you found this post to be both educational and enjoyable. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and may God continue to bless you in all things.
